Clean Eating
May 8, 2008 12:48 pm

On May 9th i will begin a 30-day trial of clean eating. What is clean eating? No, not the opposite of the mess i sometimes make on my blouse collar when the spoon misses my gob! Clean eating is ..consuming food in its most natural state — or as close as possible to it. Eating clean means eating lean meat, whole grains and good fats and most importantly eliminating empty calories from processed foods and refined sugars. So no to late night potato chips snacks, no to mid-afternoon starbucks chai rans, no to hot saturday afternoon ice-cream rans, you get the gist!

I will record what i eat at every meal and indicate how i feel if anything. I will eat as much as i feel i need without under or over eating during these meals. I will continue with my usual exercise regiment and will not add any supplements to my diet.

I am experiencing a sugar rush right now. First of all….YAY! I am so excited and I encourage you 110% and congratulate you a further 120%.
A couple of things: did I ever link to Steve Pavlina’s 30 day trials, if not check em out and good luck.
Secondly, if you ever wanted traffic to your blog, this event can pretty much be eat. If there is a clean eating forum or healthy eaters forum or anything to do with health, join it, put your blog in the signature and share some insights and questions with them about the 30 day trial.
You best expect I will check in and link back to this series.
Pictures and videos would be nice (hint hint…….:) ) Let me log off as my sugar rush continues……

Thanks for the encouragement and pointers @Mwangi! Am very psyched about this 30-day trial. Am looking forward to better health and hopefully others will be encouraged or inspired along the way.
As always you are welcome to link back to this series and your input highly sought after and encouraged.

I have been doing close to what you call ‘clean’ eating for a while now, Save for Sunday lunch when I allow myself some indulging. After a while i found it became a way of life. The hard part is getting my husband off the deserts which he has developed a liking for, and which find their way onto our plates at dinner time!
