Clean Eating - Day 24
June 2, 2008 5:23 am

After yesterday long hard day, I hit the sack pretty early and when I got up this AM feeling fresh and awake, I knew it had paid off! For breakfast, we had our Spelt Pancakes without sugar. Delicous as always!

Lack of appetite continued to hound me for yet another day. I skipped lunch and had a craving for fries in the late afternoon. Instead I boiled some red potatoes and browned them with onions, garlic and paprika. That seemed to do the trick and my fries craving was gone.

I remained satisfied through the evening.

Observations
- Can’t wait for PMS to pass!

So what prompted you to start eating clean?

@Rags - i started researching food out of curiousity and that is when i stumbled upon the extra additives in our milk and that had a profound impact on me. It made me alot more conscious of what I eat and where it comes from….

Try slicing some potatoes (yukon gold works well) and soaking the strips in water in the fridge for 8 hrs or so. Then, you can take them and fry them in some fat (preferably a stable oil like coconut oil — like organic expeller-pressed, which has no coconut taste). These are the best fries you’ve ever tasted! Puts those nasty fast food chains to shame.
