Xtracycle: Sport Utility Bicycle
June 24, 2008 8:25 am

This beauty would come in handy for the frequent runs to the grocery store and blockbuster which are a mere mile and a half away from my house. Not only will I get some more exercise in but will certainly put a dent, as small as it may, to my gas bill and of course help do my bit on the environment. I love that it has saddlebags to hold your cargo and a platform for a passenger or two. Did I mention that I want one! Yes I so do. I will even take it on frequent trips to yoga and a spin or two around the park.

Oh cool! Is it safe to cycle where you live? I have Clarissa, my old bike…think she’s going on 80 but I’m planning to get (Isabella…yeah I name all my stuff) http://www.cykelexperten.dk/batavus-brighton-deluxe-gear-dame-p-1410.html

Post pics when you get it :-)

    You can afford it.

@Gal - Isabella is pretty! love the basket…..
It’s “fairly” safe to ride a bike here. We don’t have designated pathways for biking unless at the park. So to ride to work, I would need to weave in and out of traffic which can be dangerous but over time you get used to it i suppose. Actually i have a co-worker who is riding in to work 3 times a week (12miles each day). Do you ride Clarissa everywhere? I hope so….
@Mark - thanks for the link. Oooh am getting the bike….no doubt. I don’t know that i will ever use it to commute to work but i sure will use it to ran errands that are close by. Maybe someday it will be easier to ride around on a bike out here in the middle of nowhere……

Yup. I cycle everywhere. Most people do here as there are designated cycle roads all over the country…even in the city. I think Copenhagen was voted the as the nr.1 cycling city in the world last year.
